The Light A Luminary project is the major fundraising event for the Ronald McDonald House. Luminaries are sold in kits and each $5 kit contains 6 white bags, 6 candles and sand. On December 24th luminaries are lighted and placed in neighborhoods in honor of families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House. The project is coordinated by the Friends of the Ronald McDonald House, and 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the House.
Luminary History
2008 is the 22nd year of the Light a Luminary project, which has provided
over one million dollars in support of the Ronald McDonald House.
In 2006 the project funded 19% of the House's operating budget. Because
of the low price of the kit, most people can afford to participate,
and purchasers and neighbors alike enjoy the light display.
Luminary Sponsors
The entire cost of our 2008 luminary project is underwritten by the
following generous sponsors. All proceeds from luminary sales support
house operations:

Special Thanks
To Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County for allowing us to assemble and distribute the luminaries from their Witt Street warehouse.
